The satin finish has a matte appearance and is smooth to the touch.
A polished finish is smooth to the touch and has a glossy sheen appearance. The high polished finish does have a tendency to scratch and flaw more easily than any other finish.
A hammered has a bumpy surface that appears as though it were hammered out by hand. The hammered finish can have either a polished, matte or satin appearance. The micro-hammered finish offers smaller bumps and dimples to the surface of the jewelry.
